A simple winter scene card

Hello crafty peeps.
Ready for another month of challenges at the HOUSE of CARDS?

This month you can make a scene and/or colors.

Here is my inspirations card.

I kind of used both scene and color. I always struggle with those simple, one layer CAS cards. But I think I managed a simple one layer card at least :)

When I was emptying my boxes now, I found a chalk sett, that was some of the first thing I got when I started scrapping. I have not used it for years, but thought hmm.... way not... and I think i got the look i wanted.

The shape is just masked of with some tape. Tip is to fasten it to your jeans couple of times so it is not so sticky, and will not torn your paper. And I just need to find my fixative to fix the chalk to the card now, or you smudges it easily. ;)

Stampset from Impression Opsession, has this nice text I wanted to use together with the tree and the swing. Thers also a bird, and a tyre swing and another text too in this set. I stamped with Memento gray flannel, but should have used my Versafine as it give you a crisper finish.

I wanted snow since it still is very cold and lots of snow here still. So I used a glue pen and added some white snow glitter along the branches and at the ground.

Happy with my attempt for a simple one layer card.

Acetat and vellum card

Hi again.

New month and and a new challenge at the House of cards. This month it is about clear papers. (Like vellum and acetate). 

I had a struggel with this, not short of ideas but they did not came out the way I wanted. So at last I made this. And I am pleased with this card. It is more purple than the photos shows

I am inspired by Jennifer McGuire and lots of her tutorials for vellum and acetate card. Also little inspired from Kittie Caracciolo.

I had this tree die from Impression Obsession, and diecut it out of vellum. 

I have got some alcohol inks and playedwith them on a clear binder cover. When dry I diecut som mini flowers. Did shape them e little, and random placed them on the branches of the tree. Little crystals in the center of each flower. 

The sentimen is also from Impression Obsession, and machted the card well.

The base is a binder cover sheet folded, and a smaller note card inside. 

The sentiment is placed on the note card inside.

Hvitt vinter hus med elektrisk telys inni

Hei igjen.

Her kommer et lite vinterhus og tre fra mæ. Huset er montert slik at det kan løftes opp og sette et elektrisk te lys inni.

Filen på huset og treet er funnet i Silhouette store og kuttet ut i hvit kartong med Portrait maskina mi. Pipa kjørte gjennom i en embossingfolder med mur struktur før den ble brettet og montert. Brukte så snemaling og glitter for en sne effekt.

Treet er kuttet ut flere ganger og brettet på midten og limt rygg mot rygg for å få en 3D effekt.

Plattformen er flere lag med eskepapp opppå hverandre og limt hvit kartong rundt før hus og tre ble montert på denne.

Liten gave te god venninne som liker det rent og enkelt.

Liker å bygge ting, og dette var koselig bygging. Terapi vil æ kalle det.
Ha en fin kreativ dag.

Frosty, embossing og diser og første no-line coloring

Hei igjen ja!

Her går det unna for tia. Idag er det et lite julekort med Mr. Frosty fra Wee Stamp som ble fargelagt med Prisma blyantene mine på Kraft. Bestemte meg for å forsøke no-line fargelegging og det var gøy, og blir ikke siste gange. 

Blir bestandig så godt humør når æ tar fram boksen med alle julestemplene mine. 

Så itillegg har jeg brukt tekststempel fra Papirdesign og en helt ny dise derifra som jeg syntes kutta veldig bra. Og et ramme stempel fra Joy Crafts. 

Og masse embossingpulver har æ brukt, og om nån e i tvil, æ like å embosse. 

Her er kortet mitt.

Gla i å bruke kraft kartong når æ fargelegge og e mye inspirert av Wenche Wold og hennes fargelegginger på kraft. 

Blir nok å fargelegge mere med no-line teknikken med Prisma blyantene. Koste meg masse.

Og æ klarte selvfølgelig å velte boksen med spissesponet, sjøl om æ hadde plassert den langt inn på bordet for å unngå det.... Shit happens hehehe..

Den nye disen Julehilsen fra Papirdesign kuttet overraskende lett i kraft kartongen. Valgte å bruke den uten bakgrunnen her. Snyflakene disene huske æ ikkje kor e ifra. Alt kutta i kraft og embossa med hvit opace embossing pulver. Bruket Stampendious sitt chunky embossingpulver te snø og i hjørnen på et av lagene. Det hvite laget er embosset med det opace ebossingpulver ala Jennifer McGuire stil. 

Det ovale rammestemplet fra JoyCraft stemplet jeg over det ferdig farga motivet etter å ha brukt antistatiske pute først. Bruke Versamark og hvitt opace embossing pulver. Etter at dette var smeltet strødde jeg Chunky embossigpulver rundt om og varmet det fra undersiden ellers blåser det av. Monterte motivet med foam tape bak ramma for dybde, og stakk biter av snøflak litt her og der. Blå krystaller passa på dissan snyflakene.

Inni brukte jeg rammestemplet på den biten æ skar ut på forsiden og tekststemplet fra Papirdesign. De to siste snyflakene passa fin her.

Pocket Letters and a little contest.

Hi you all happy crafters.

Time for a new challenge at The House of Cards, and this months challenge is use color or textures.

I planned for both but, my choice for colors are more bright. And I wanted to show how you can make your own embellishment to texture you cards with. And what is better to show off that than a Pocket Letter. This is a new trend here in Norway and it is my second I have made. Did not think it was for me but It is really fun to do. 

So here is mine.

So here I have used different techniques here, shortly explained in the follow description



1. Fussy cut a lace from a large lace and inked it with alhohol ink. But you can use any kind of ink or markers. Versamark ink all over and emboss with fine clear embossing powder will lock the treads and not torn it up.

2. Embossed with embossing powder along the egdes to make a frame with textures. The medalion is cut out of cardboard, embossed with severals of layers of embossing powder and then used a rubber stamp covered with Versamark, and pressed it down and hold for a bit, carefully released it.

3. Cut out some flowers and branches with my Silhouette in craft cardbord, and inked them up in fall colors. Covered them all with Versamark and clear embossing powder, severals layers.



4. Used PolyShrink paper and cut out some leafs with my BigShot. Inked them with alcohol inks and shrinked them with a heat gun, and covered them in Versamark and UTEE embossing powder. Tip by inking them up befor shrinking the color are brighter than when you ink they when they are shrinked.

5. Cut out a heart shape of cardboard and cowered it with ink (deep purple), Versamark and Pearl embossingpowder, heat and dry and inked with chalk ink, repeat several layers. Covered in Versamark and a layer of UTEE embossingpowder to get the enameld look.

6. Old Priama flower, inked up with drops of alhohol ink, perlize and blending solution.

* You also here see how I filled the holes with ribbons, treads and laces. You can also put trinkets here. The ribbon Idea is from a friend, Tove - Tove's Hjerterom.



7. Same as #2 but with a text stamp in rubber.

8. Alchol ink on metal gives a nice shine.

9. Swirles cut out of a soda can. Inked in alcohol ink and embossed with layers of clear embossing powder.

Here is my textured backside of the pocket letter:



I started by covering the sheet with whithe gesso, then used a stencil and stencil paste. Here you could have used Versamark ink and embossing powder but I did go for the paste this time.

When dry I added a layer of gesso with a little black paint and got the greyish look. Worked on with some gelatos and finnished of with Inca Gold paste in copper. I had ment to use it for the embellishment but I thougth it looked so good that I did not want to. The lucky one who gets this will have 9 backgrounds to play with :)

To hold it all together in the mail I made a cover of the rests of the papers.



Decorated the cover for the pocket letter with leftovers from the papers and embelishments



Just the cover, it can be used in a card as an element.



The flowres and textured paper worked well together on the cover. Added some extra pearls.



Here you see how I folded upp the ribbons and laces in the back tucked inn with the pocket letter in the cover.

I have used:
pockets for collector cards
binding covers 180mic - 9*(3,5x2,5)
2 sheets of 12x12 papers - 9*(3,5x2,5) and 9*(3x2)
1 sheet A4 - 9*(3,5x2,5)
The size of the pockets are 3,5x2,5

To fold the cover you have to measure your folded pocket as they can vary in size. Mine I foldet at 10,11,21,22 cm. Fold and glue, cut of acess paper. Then decorate cover.

If you use a paper that has a nice backside you just ned two sheets of 12x12, the smaler size (3x2) can cut larger but smaller than the (3,5x2,5) to have a smaler frame. I dont glue the pices together so they can be used by the receiver. Some of the embellishment i glue with a tiny drop of glue og gluedots or foame pads to the binding covers so they can be used to. You can wrap whashi tape around it to.

Framed Card and HOC

Hello everyone.

Ready for the August Challenge at House Of Cards, here it is:

This month the cue is Metallics, use or do anything that you relate to metallics.

I have a little celabration as a DT at Hoc. One year I have been on the DT team. Thanks Mynn for the oportuneti and a great leader.

To my card I choose to make a Framed crad, my first try. And I also used a soda can and cut it. Played with my alchol markers, But I will get me some liquid alchol inks and sulotion to play. There's so many ways to play with these. 

I punched out some flowers and shaped them. Glossy accent and microbeads finished them of. The rest of the can I did embbossed with a embossing folder and used as a background for the flowrs. 

Tried to show howe the frame is build up.

Cardbase is Bazzill silver, and background papers are from Prima. Egde papers with memento ink. I have used diffrent dise from Tonic Studio and added metal studs as embelishment. Used Wink of Stella clear pen on all the diecut pieces to get some shimmer.

Stamped a quote on vellum and heat embossed it in silver. .

Lollipop cards and HOC

Hi friends.

Time for another challenge at the House of Cards. 

And the newest trend here i Norway are "Lollipop-cards". 

So I wanted to try that and I also wanted to color again, have been a while since the last one. 

Been a while since I had colored so that was a challenge to. I have som favorte artist and this time i choose some from Aurora Wings, take a peek at all her lovely digis. I colored these with my Prismacolor pencils, and I have not forgotten how to.. :)

All the lollipop-cards I have seen have all been round, and you know me... I had to do it my own way, ... so you see mine ended up oval and I got to use my new Spellbinder die. And my paper straws have dissapeared, so I just used normal plastic straws. Not as pretty but they work. 

Flowers are from Wild Orchid,

On the back side I stampt some friend text from Storyteller also the blings are from them.

These are so easy and fun to make and you can use flower sticks instead of straws and stick it in a flower pot as a little extra decoration or with clearbag of a treat for any occacsions. 

I challenged my self by using yellow and orage colors, but I had to make one useing one of my faveorite color combos, blue colors.

HOC Butterflies and mini flowers

Ready for anothere challenge at the House of cards. 

Add a Butterfly &/or Color Challenge

I am inspired by the card by Kittie Caracciolo and her blog KittieCraft. 

She makes the most beautiful cards with mini flower and more and a lots of layers.

So I desided to make a card inspired by her, and here it is:

The vines I found in the Silhouette store. I cut it out in white sketch paper and used fantastix and colored the vines in green distress ink and then sprayed with water.

I cut out another panel and cut out the flower by hand from the vines. Shaped them and used the fantastix and added a pink center with distress ink. Brushed them with my Wink of Stella clear pen and glued a pearl in the center of each flower. Then I glued them to the vines. 

The butterflies I tried to make a ombre color on pink and purple. 

I added to color distress ink to a watercolor paper and then sprayed it with water. Punched out the butterflies, and used my clear Wink of Stella on them too. 

I used couple of layers and added som White Wink of Stella on the frame. 

I am really happy on how my card turned out at the end.

Påske/Vår kort

Hei igjen.

Våknet til sol og 30 cm ny snø, og tenkte fin dag for å få seg en ski tur ilag med hunden.... Meeen før jeg fikk i meg frokost var det blitt tett snø drev. Hva gjør man da.. joh da lager man påskekort/vårkort. Ikke noe jeg vanligvis lager eller sender men fikk en fårespørsel så her er dem..

 Hele kortet er kuttet med Shilhouett maskinen. Brukte reste papir til dette. Svertet kanter, blad tupper og bunn og topp på tulipanene med mini Distress ink. "Hullene" på tulipanen fikk litt glitter med Wink of Stella tusjen min. Tok feil tusj da jeg skulle "highlight" sommerfuglene på koppen, så dem ble hvite, og det ble helt feil så jeg la et papir under og sverta dem i samme blåtone som kanten på koppen ble svertet med. Syns resultatet ble bra og god dybde inntrykk.

 Begge disse kortbasene/design er kjøpt i Silhouette stor, design by Daniela Angelova.

Lagde dette kortet først. Ble ikke sånn jeg hadde planlagt, da jeg begynte med å ta feil av tusjene og isteden for clear tok jeg hvit Wink of Stella tusjen... men liker designet her veldig godt. Her får du med både kortbase, ramme og ekstra sider pluss alle blomstene i tillegg.

Jeg valgte å kjøre ut blomstene tre ganger i tre forskjellige farger. Og formet dem etter på en foam matte med prege redskaper. Halvperler i forskjellige størrelser som passet til blomstene. Svertet med mini distress ink. Brukte ikke foam da de ikke ønsket så stort volum da det skal sendes til ut landet.

Nyt kreativiteten din!

Juletagger (pakkelapper)

Hei igjen.
Da har jeg laget juletagger (pakkelapper til julegavene) for Cardmania med digier fra Wiff of Joy.

Jeg brukte alle de tre digiene vi ble tilsendt som GDT. Og lagde tagger med disse. Skrev disse ut på kraft kartong, og kuttet disse ut med Spellbinders Heriloom dies 2011. Farget de med Prisma Color blyantene. Stemplet så over med cling stempel fra Hero Art snowflakes background. Valgte hvitt  og blå toner som jeg er veldig gla i.

 

Svertet kantene også med hvit stempel pute og baksiden fikk god jul stempel og til og fra stempel og en liten Juleklem hilsen fra norsk stempelblad.

Beklager litt dårlig kvalitet på bildene men er på ferie og hadde glemt digital kameraet og måtte bruke det på mobilen.
