Christmas tag in traditional colors

Hello everyone.

We have a fabulous new challenge for you at House of Cards this month!  You can be inspired by the colors or include the holiday theme on your card or be like me and use both.

To day it is the first day with snow here, and I have been in real Christmas mood here. So this months challenge was just all joy. And I wanted to start making some tag for the Christmas presents later this season. And here are the first one.

So here is my lovely Christmas Santa tag, or Nisse as we say here in Norway.... our nisse are small and lives in the barn or in the woods and are all kind to the animals and do tricks on us humans these weesk before Christmas. So if anything goes wrong, blame it on the Nisse. :D

I always have enjoy to color since childhood. And for this tag I use one of my very first stamp ever, one I have very dear and want more of the same style. So if you know of any let me know ;)

This one is from Ladybugs and Friends, and I don't know the designer of this. So if any know the desinger, I like to know. 

This one I have used a lot, and used with my Promarkers and watercolor on, but never my Prismacolor. So of course this one had to be done with my pencils and on my craft cardstock. 

I just use the pencils, and no mediums needed when blending on craft or sketch paper. Started to ink it up with Memento London fog, a ligth gray and then colored it.

Die cut it with a tag die from Die'desire. Inked up the edges with the same ink. It needed some more so I used my Martha Stewart branch punch and punched out some branches in green scrap papers and added some red half pearls and a dark green ribbon.

Holiday and/or Colors

Autumn colors / Høst farger

Hello again. 

Are you ready for another challenge over at the HOUSE OF CARDS?

This months theme is about CAS Halloween and/or Colors.

Here are my cards :)

I randomly inked a sheet of paper with distress ink i orange, soft green and grey colors. 

I did diecut the leaves from this. The tree is diecut out of some black cardstock.

1.st card I just randomly glued the leaves on the frame and tree, before I glued it all on the base card.

2nd card I cut a circle from a postit note and inked the grey area, I also teared up a paper edge as I inked for some clouds. Removed the postit note and inked the moon. Glued the tree frame on this and cut around and glued to the basecard. At last the leaves where glued on.

I used Distress ink, Impression Obsession - Tree Frame and Tattered Lace Die - Mini Blooms.

Scrap papers for the base and the tree.

A simple winter scene card

Hello crafty peeps.
Ready for another month of challenges at the HOUSE of CARDS?

This month you can make a scene and/or colors.

Here is my inspirations card.

I kind of used both scene and color. I always struggle with those simple, one layer CAS cards. But I think I managed a simple one layer card at least :)

When I was emptying my boxes now, I found a chalk sett, that was some of the first thing I got when I started scrapping. I have not used it for years, but thought hmm.... way not... and I think i got the look i wanted.

The shape is just masked of with some tape. Tip is to fasten it to your jeans couple of times so it is not so sticky, and will not torn your paper. And I just need to find my fixative to fix the chalk to the card now, or you smudges it easily. ;)

Stampset from Impression Opsession, has this nice text I wanted to use together with the tree and the swing. Thers also a bird, and a tyre swing and another text too in this set. I stamped with Memento gray flannel, but should have used my Versafine as it give you a crisper finish.

I wanted snow since it still is very cold and lots of snow here still. So I used a glue pen and added some white snow glitter along the branches and at the ground.

Happy with my attempt for a simple one layer card.

Blått stjerne kort med julestjerne

Hei igjen.

I høst laget jeg dette Stjerne kortet etter å ha sett leser oppgaver i ett trykk. Og bestemte meg for å sende inn. Sia dette var første gang jeg sendte noe inn, regnet jeg ikke med å bli valgt ut men det ble jeg. Stolt, glad og ydmyk, ble og er jeg. Fikk til og med en hel side med seks bilder og et lite sneak peak på forsiden. Så dette var over alle forventninger.

Ligger mange maler på nette til Stjernekort og jeg fulgte denne fra God Tid bloggen

Brukt Bazzill kartong og mønsterpapir fra Papirdesign. Stemplene er fra Norskt Stempel blad.

Julestjernen er fra Tim Holtz/Sizzix og er montert på en dekorativ sirkel, denne er fra Tonic studio.

Julestjernen ble kuttet og embosset. Så brukte jeg to toner i blått og grønt fra Disstress ink og sverta embossingen på julestjernen med disse. Forment og montert med en raindrops i midten. 

Bånd festet på baksiden av sirkelen og knytes rundt når stjernekortet er foldet sammen.

God plass til å skrive en hyggelig julehilsen inni kortet. 

Det var alt for denne gang. La kreativiteten blomstre til neste gang.

Star folded card and Coloring with embossing powder

Hi Peeps, and a Happy New Year to you all.

A new year and an new term as a DT for the House of Cards for me, and I am very happy to be part of this amazing team. This month our Challenge are embossing and or color inspiration.

Here is mye Star foldet Card.

As you know I love and use a lot of embossing on my cards, and to day I want to show you a non-traditional way of embossing, Coloring with embossing powder.

This technique I spotted over at Jennifer McGuire on Youtube and had to try it.
I have this layered stamp sett from Altenew, where I used the leafs to try this technique.

The way of how you do it is that instead of layers of ink stamping you use Versamark and colored embossing powders.

I did not have many colors to pick from so the first layer, the base I used a light green pingment ink from Colorbox and clear embossingpowder over. Next layer is a powder from Tim Holtz and Ranger, and it have this sandy feeling when you touch it. Since I already had a layer of clear embossing powder this powder become less sandy to touch. The top layer is black embossing from Whistler, my favorite embossingpowder, sadly they are retired.

To get a good result it is smart to use your antistatic tool, cloth or buddy between each layer and let them cool down between each embossing and dont overheat.

I have the die set to this stamp set so I die cut all the leavs I made.

I also die cut this ornamental cirkel from Marianne desing, embossed it and when still in the die I inked up the raised parts of it.

The Star foldet card I have seen lots of on Pintrest and have made one before, and this is a simpler take on it as I wanted to let the leavs and front lable be the main focus.

I lightly inked up the egdes of the roses, and a lace ribbond glued at the back of the front panel with a cirkle to cover it.

The text I diecut from the same paper as the card base of the card. I was planed to emboss it but forgot. Sorry. Emboss your diecuts in embossing powder and they get a 3D effect. You can see it on my Frosty Card. This is also a card with a lot of heat embossing on it, have look for more inspirations.

There are so many ways that you can eboss and use embossing powder. Hope you got inspired and want to try out this fun technique of layered embossing.

Hello all you wonderfull cardmakers and crafting peeps.

Here is my inspiration cards

I have used digis from our sponsors MHKDesigns and stamps from Great Impressions.

With the papers and brand new digi from MHKDesigns, I made this rosett card. Love makeing these and it worked well with this digi and worn pinkish paper. You know I love work with craft paper, so our inspiration photo for this bloghop was just a joy for me. Have used an egde punch Ek success, and die from Tonic studion and the Poinsettia are from retired Boss Cut.
Picked up the pink, white and craft, and some hits of gold on the poinsettia and some gold strings. The digi is colored with Distress markers and covered in ice glitter.

 From Great Impressions I fell in love with this "dreamy" tree stamp and just had to have it.
And in my stash i found my old flock kit, and have not used it for agedes. So why not use that together with som gold glitter and and a glue pad. Flock is this velvet print on cards, and was super hot when I started makeing cards. Wanted them to have a simple and clean look. Do not have many English greetings, but found this in a set I had and used it here. 

As you know I am a sucker for snowflake, can't get to many of them, dies stamps punches... whatever as long theres some snowflake I am fine. So this to ended up in my basket. Did the same with this, like the other one. And both got a layer with gold glitter at the egde. Did not have any gold glitter paper. And yes I do have gold glitter all over my house. Even my dog is sparkling.

Rosa hjerte boks

Hallo alle scrappere!

Idag har æ lyst å vise en hjerteboks æ har dekorert til ære for oktober er månden med fokus på brystkreft, Rosa sløyfe aksjonen.

Hadde tatt vare på en hjerteformet sjokolade eske, og malte den med gesso og akrylmaling. Tegnet av fasonge og klippet ut. Brukte tekst stensiler og memento stempel puter, og fikk litt variasjon i papiret. Svertet også kantene med Memento. Alle kantene på boksen ble også svertet. Alle metallene fikk en omgang med alkoholblekk. Blomstene er laget av rester av papiret. Brukte puncher fra Fiskars og Ek Success. Hvite bakgrunsblomster er die fra Prima og swirlene er Joy Crafts. Løse krystallener fra Kort&Godt, og strass lenkene er fra smykke lage stasjet mitt. Metallene er også derifra.

Bunnen inni fikk hvit bunn med stempel fra Papirdesign, et av mine favoritt tekst stempler på vennskap. Pyntet litt i siden for balanse.

Innsiden ble også dekket av mønster papir og liten blomsterpynt.

Metallblomstene er store perle kapsler som ble flatet ut og fikk en omgang med alkoholblekk og så formet til blomster, Rosene er ala Kirsten Hyde mal 

Hadde lyst å ha litt sånn mixmedia feeling på denna så jeg skvetta over med litt forskjellige mister og malinger i hvitt, rosa og sølv nyanser.

Blomster laging får fint at gjøre når en sitter å ser på TV. 

Esken skal få en liten spa gave inne seg senere.

Frosty, embossing og diser og første no-line coloring

Hei igjen ja!

Her går det unna for tia. Idag er det et lite julekort med Mr. Frosty fra Wee Stamp som ble fargelagt med Prisma blyantene mine på Kraft. Bestemte meg for å forsøke no-line fargelegging og det var gøy, og blir ikke siste gange. 

Blir bestandig så godt humør når æ tar fram boksen med alle julestemplene mine. 

Så itillegg har jeg brukt tekststempel fra Papirdesign og en helt ny dise derifra som jeg syntes kutta veldig bra. Og et ramme stempel fra Joy Crafts. 

Og masse embossingpulver har æ brukt, og om nån e i tvil, æ like å embosse. 

Her er kortet mitt.

Gla i å bruke kraft kartong når æ fargelegge og e mye inspirert av Wenche Wold og hennes fargelegginger på kraft. 

Blir nok å fargelegge mere med no-line teknikken med Prisma blyantene. Koste meg masse.

Og æ klarte selvfølgelig å velte boksen med spissesponet, sjøl om æ hadde plassert den langt inn på bordet for å unngå det.... Shit happens hehehe..

Den nye disen Julehilsen fra Papirdesign kuttet overraskende lett i kraft kartongen. Valgte å bruke den uten bakgrunnen her. Snyflakene disene huske æ ikkje kor e ifra. Alt kutta i kraft og embossa med hvit opace embossing pulver. Bruket Stampendious sitt chunky embossingpulver te snø og i hjørnen på et av lagene. Det hvite laget er embosset med det opace ebossingpulver ala Jennifer McGuire stil. 

Det ovale rammestemplet fra JoyCraft stemplet jeg over det ferdig farga motivet etter å ha brukt antistatiske pute først. Bruke Versamark og hvitt opace embossing pulver. Etter at dette var smeltet strødde jeg Chunky embossigpulver rundt om og varmet det fra undersiden ellers blåser det av. Monterte motivet med foam tape bak ramma for dybde, og stakk biter av snøflak litt her og der. Blå krystaller passa på dissan snyflakene.

Inni brukte jeg rammestemplet på den biten æ skar ut på forsiden og tekststemplet fra Papirdesign. De to siste snyflakene passa fin her.
