Påske Egg - lang rugetid

Heisann.

Endelig begynner scrappelysten å komme tilbake. 

Det er sjelden æ plukke opp et prosjekt når æ ha lagt det ifra mæ for lenge sia... Men det har æ da gjort med dettan påskeegget. Snart et år siden jeg begynte på dette og har nå gjort det ferdig. 

MixMediastil inspirert a bla Kirsten Hyde og hennes kurs. Mister, sprayer, maling og paste er brukt på delene og egget. Og masse Gesso. 

Deler fra PC, leke helikopter, lyspærer, øretelefoner, låsehengsler mm. Ja bla endel som jeg fant på jr rom, han har altid likt å plukke istykker ting for å sjekke korsen det såg ut inni. Noe som har resultert i at han idag e i elektriker faget. Jr hadde også en periode med hodeskaller, deriblandt lomme/bukselenke med disse på. Disse er nå forevig "vokter" av egget :)

Selve egget va et som jr har slitt med i alle år. Den gangen det ble kjøpt, va vi sent ute og valget va da mellom et pitte lite grønt eller et stort lilla.... Det ble lilla, og no e det for første gang et skikkelig manne egg. Endel rødt siden jr e gla i rødt. 

Dekorert med blomster, sorte diamanter og miro-perler. Så her er bildene, de sier mer enn ord.

Hi and welcome.
After long time I have finished my sons (18) easter egg. The egg itself he have had since he was a little boy, but needed some TLC. And I want to surprice him with it for this Easter, as he no longer live at home. Mooved out for education and work to the south.

He was a boy that did love to pic things a pices just to see how it looked inside. So many of the parts on this are toys and pc and other electric stuff that I have found in his room. He had also a love for those sculls chaines they hang on their pants and juvelry, so it is all stuff he will know and remeber. And hope to bring a smile to his face.

Have used heavy duty glue for those parts and a lot of gesso. Paints, sprays, mists and paste are covering the whole easter egg. Red is his favorite color and used red flowers and microbeads to finished it of. 

I am proud and happy with this. Just have to fill it with some sweets and send it of now.

Pleated Heart rosett card

Hello everyone.

Are you ready for another challenge at the House of Cards.

This month is it all about shaped cards. 

Here is my card.

I am still working with the pleated rosett cards. Now I found a heart shape at the Silhouette store, and wanted to try it. It is soon valentine too. Embossed the egdes in silver.

Used die from Marianne Design and Cherry Lynne. And the letters I cut with my Silhouette Portrait. Wink of Stella clear on the red diecut and the flowers. The letter are covered with Wink of Luna silver.

Inside place to write a greeting.

Star folded card and Coloring with embossing powder

Hi Peeps, and a Happy New Year to you all.

A new year and an new term as a DT for the House of Cards for me, and I am very happy to be part of this amazing team. This month our Challenge are embossing and or color inspiration.

Here is mye Star foldet Card.

As you know I love and use a lot of embossing on my cards, and to day I want to show you a non-traditional way of embossing, Coloring with embossing powder.

This technique I spotted over at Jennifer McGuire on Youtube and had to try it.
I have this layered stamp sett from Altenew, where I used the leafs to try this technique.

The way of how you do it is that instead of layers of ink stamping you use Versamark and colored embossing powders.

I did not have many colors to pick from so the first layer, the base I used a light green pingment ink from Colorbox and clear embossingpowder over. Next layer is a powder from Tim Holtz and Ranger, and it have this sandy feeling when you touch it. Since I already had a layer of clear embossing powder this powder become less sandy to touch. The top layer is black embossing from Whistler, my favorite embossingpowder, sadly they are retired.

To get a good result it is smart to use your antistatic tool, cloth or buddy between each layer and let them cool down between each embossing and dont overheat.

I have the die set to this stamp set so I die cut all the leavs I made.

I also die cut this ornamental cirkel from Marianne desing, embossed it and when still in the die I inked up the raised parts of it.

The Star foldet card I have seen lots of on Pintrest and have made one before, and this is a simpler take on it as I wanted to let the leavs and front lable be the main focus.

I lightly inked up the egdes of the roses, and a lace ribbond glued at the back of the front panel with a cirkle to cover it.

The text I diecut from the same paper as the card base of the card. I was planed to emboss it but forgot. Sorry. Emboss your diecuts in embossing powder and they get a 3D effect. You can see it on my Frosty Card. This is also a card with a lot of heat embossing on it, have look for more inspirations.

There are so many ways that you can eboss and use embossing powder. Hope you got inspired and want to try out this fun technique of layered embossing.

Oh gosh, December already... have you been noty or nice... hihihi

Hello all you wonderfull cardmakers and crafting peeps.

Here is my inspiration cards

I have used digis from our sponsors MHKDesigns and stamps from Great Impressions.

With the papers and brand new digi from MHKDesigns, I made this rosett card. Love makeing these and it worked well with this digi and worn pinkish paper. You know I love work with craft paper, so our inspiration photo for this bloghop was just a joy for me. Have used an egde punch Ek success, and die from Tonic studion and the Poinsettia are from retired Boss Cut.
Picked up the pink, white and craft, and some hits of gold on the poinsettia and some gold strings. The digi is colored with Distress markers and covered in ice glitter.

 From Great Impressions I fell in love with this "dreamy" tree stamp and just had to have it.
And in my stash i found my old flock kit, and have not used it for agedes. So why not use that together with som gold glitter and and a glue pad. Flock is this velvet print on cards, and was super hot when I started makeing cards. Wanted them to have a simple and clean look. Do not have many English greetings, but found this in a set I had and used it here. 

As you know I am a sucker for snowflake, can't get to many of them, dies stamps punches... whatever as long theres some snowflake I am fine. So this to ended up in my basket. Did the same with this, like the other one. And both got a layer with gold glitter at the egde. Did not have any gold glitter paper. And yes I do have gold glitter all over my house. Even my dog is sparkling.

Overflødighets horn i 3D - Cornucopia

Hei igjen.

Her går det i juleting, selv om det ikke er mye som minner om vinter snø og snart advent her. Mørkt og vått her for tiden.

Da er det kjekt å kunne sette seg ned å kose seg med hobbyen vår.

Denne gangen har jeg brukt Silhouetten og laget dette overflødighets hornet jeg fant i Silhouette store.

Selve hornet er kuttet i kraft kartong og grønn jule kartong. Kuttet også ut en del blader og julestjernene er fra Tim Holzt/Sizzix.

Laget en base til denne da jeg synes den ble stødigere. Fylles med godsaker til jul.

Brukte tre julestjerner på denne.

Julestjernene er kuttet i hvitt papir og svertet med div Distress ink.

Ble fin synes jeg og er nok ikke den siste jeg lager.

Silhouetten er et utstyr en må bruke å jobbe med, for å bli venn med har jeg funnet ut. Og det må ikke gå for lang tid i mellom hver gang en bruker den heller. Føler nå at jeg begynner nå å få litt kontroll på hva jeg gjør med den. Og veldig artig når en får det til.

Top Hat - Flosshatt

Hei igjen.

Jeg er så heldig å har får være med en flott gjeng med jente håndballspillere i 12-13 års alderen i Håndballklubben Landsås. Og da hoved treneren for laget var borte på leirskole med en klasse, fant vi ut at vi skulle overraske han på på 40-års dagen uken etter.

I den forbindelse laget jeg en Flosshatt boks som jenten fylte med litt ekstra, og hadde skrevet og tegnet personlige hilsener som vi la oppi. Jentene var kjempe flinke og klarte å holde på hemmeligheten hele to treninger, og han ble skikkelig overrasket, og det ble bursdags fest med kake og saft i Landsås hallen.


Her er den:

Jentene ville at det skulle stå 20+20 isteden for 40

Oppi ble det puttet litt kos og flotte hilsner fra jentene.

Hatten er en fil fra Silhouette Store, og for å få boksen lagde jeg vare en hatt litt mindre og klippet av den i høyden.

Brukte litt tykkere Bazzill kartong på selve hatten og diverse reste papir og Colocopy papir. Navn og tekst er laget med Silhouett Portrett maskinen min. 

Klubbmerket har jeg tillatt meg å digitalisere og kuttet ut og laget lag på lag med Portretten også. Svertet alle kantene med hvitt chalk ink og jentene signerte boksen med hvit Prismacolor blyant. Pyntet med tilbehør fra Silhouette fila og bredt chiffon bånd. Sia denne var til en mann så droppet vi blomster og bling og dill :) 

Denne var gøy og lage og ikke alt for avansert.

Stamped Punched window with a hidden object

Hi am back with another challenge at The House of Cards. 

This month it is a teqhnique challenge: Stamped punch window. And you know me I had to challenge my self on this. Did not know of this technique, but I looked it up after Mynn showed us. And there is a lot of tutorials on the Youtube and at Pintrest. I also found a lot of card with this hidden object, so I wanted to combine these. 

And here is my November card.

And when you open it, a new object shows in the cut out window.

And here you see how it slide inn the window pocket.

And here is howe the die cut fit rigth in the die cut window of the bulb.

I stamped and embossed and cut out all the bulbs and used a halographic embossingpowder. It gives a nice shine of the color as in the rainbow. 

The two bulbs in the front are mounted with thick foam tape to give some dimension. Used quilters rainbow colord tre to hang them in the pine branch. The pinebranch is punched out with a branch punch and put together. And used my white Wink of Stella brush.

The hanging on teh top of the bulbs I embossed in silver and fuzzy cut out, 

This was a fun card to make, and there is a load of tutorials and inspiration on both Youtube and Pintrest.
